
A consortium of Dutch companies launched the Coronavirus Technology Initiative. The participating firms will provide the authorities with access to the latest technologies to combat the pandemic.
The Blockchain is planned to be used to build a model of the medical supply ecosystem and to create a platform to assess the supply and demand for medicines and medical equipment. The Blockchain will help combat overpricing of medicines and ensure transparency throughout the supply chain.
One of the companies involved in the initiative is Tymlez's block-start-up company. Cybersprint, which works in the field of cybersecurity, will provide its services for several hospitals, while Taxion, an information security company, will administer online systems for organizing volunteer employees.
IT firm Compumatica will help provide Internet connectivity for employees operating from home. In addition, the Dutch telecommunications company KPN has secured Microsoft support for its operations.
Recently, it was reported that IBM, Oracle and the World Health Organization (WHO) are establishing an open data centre that will use a cluster to verify information related to the Coronavirus pandemic.
