A new method of fraud using cryptomats, through which users buy cryptovolves for fiat money, has become known.
The scammers use special double-sided stickers with QR codes, where the address of the criminals' purse is placed. These stickers are placed on an ATM QR code scanner. The side that is shown to users shows the words "scan here". On the back side there is a QR code with the address of the criminals' bitcoin wallet. Everything is done so that the user thinks that the translucent QR code is just a hint for those who do not know what to attach to the scanner.
Thus, the user shows the QR code to the ATM scanner to get bitcoins to his address, but the ATM reads the QR code of the criminals. As a result, after payment, bitcoins are not sent to the user's address, but to the address of the attackers.
On the sticker above QR-code sends bitcoins to the address 1JvHVnEsYsYsPo5SJfYfzVhMRoatmKE6ntS. Only one transaction worth 0.0868 BTC was passed to it.
It is impossible to reject an already completed transaction, but you can avoid losing your BTC. To do this, you need to check the scanned address and your own, because after scanning the QR code, the cryptomat shows the alphanumeric string of the wallet, which will receive the crypt currency. If you check the crediting address of the crypt-currency at each transaction, the chance of losing money will be much lower.
