Nippon Express will use Blockchain to track parcels

Japanese logistics company Nippon Express plans to develop a new system based on a blockage system, which will ensure transparency in delivery of shipments.

It is planned to spend about 100 billion yen ($1 billion) on the system development. In addition, Nippon Express plans to use a blockage system as early as 2021 to ensure transparency of drug delivery.

The development of the system will be undertaken by the block-start-up Accenture. The system will monitor the temperature of drugs at each stage of delivery, that is, even trucks will be equipped with temperature sensors.

Each box of pharmaceuticals will also receive its own RFID tag. This will make it possible to track all stages of drug delivery. The startup hopes that in the future, the system will also be able to track the supply of pharmaceutical components.

Earlier, the consulting company Acumen Research and Consulting (ARC) reported that the block financing on the healthcare market will exceed $1.7 billion by 2026.
