At the request of the Federal Tax Service in December 2017, Roskomnadzor blocked access to one of the pages of the forum BitcoinTalk. Some users reported problems with access to the entire resource.
Since March 25, one of the pages of the popular cryptographic forum BitcoinTalk got into the list of blocking, and many providers traditionally block the entire resource. Roskomnadzor blocked access at the request of the Federal Tax Service dated December 21, 2017. The reason for the blocking was the topic on the forum BitcoinTalk about online casinos, created in September 2016.
Previously, one of the pages of the forum Bits.media was included in the "blacklist" at the request of the Federal Tax Service, also dated December 2017 - four days later than a similar request for BitcoinTalk. The reason for blocking the Bits.media forum page was also a topic about online casinos, created in 2016. The topic has already been removed from the forum and there is now a dialogue with Roskomnadzor on removing the entry from the registry. However, the forum remains available to most users.
Earlier this month, it became known about the next round of blocking cryptovite sites. Access to five sites was banned by the decision of the Nyandomsk District Court of the Arkhangelsk Region.
The history of blocking cryptocurrency sites in Russia dates back to 2015. At the same time, the first trial on illegal blocking was won with the participation of Bits.media. In 2016-2017, access to several popular exchanges was banned, and last year several news sites about cryptocurrency and monitoring of Bestchange exchangers were blocked, which also managed to obtain the cancellation of the court decision.
