SF Express will track the delivery of critical goods on a block list

SF Express, the second largest logistics service in China, is exploring the possibility of using a blockage to transport critical goods during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The company believes that a blockage can be useful for tracing the origin and verifying the quality of medical products. Although the scope and status of implementation of the blockage in SF Express is not detailed, the company has "already started to establish use," especially for the transport of drugs and food.

According to the Global Times, the Blockade is seen as a key new technology, along with the large data and artificial intelligence that helps health workers and other professionals to assist during a pandemic.

SF Express integrates the blockchain with the big data to create a logistics network that supports tracking, verification and accurate recording of goods. The system can prioritize shipments and reduce the risk of counterfeit or unlicensed products spreading to regions.

This is not the first blockage initiative to emerge during the Coronavirus pandemic. The other day, a consortium of Dutch companies launched the Coronavirus Technology Initiative. The participating firms will provide the authorities with access to the latest technologies to combat the pandemic.

In addition, it has recently been announced that IBM, Oracle and the World Health Organization (WHO) are establishing an open data centre that will use a blockbuster to verify information related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Recall also that last week the U.S. Department of Homeland Security named the block-keeper specialists as workers of critical infrastructure, along with workers in health care, pharmaceuticals and food supply.
