Tether has released another 60 million USDT

According to the Whale Alert service, on March 9th at 3:33 pm, Tether released about 60 million more USDT on the Etherium blockage.

Technical Director of Bitfinex and Tether Paolo Ardoino said that this is just a "restocking".

"It is an authorized but not issued transaction. This amount will be used as a reserve for future requests," he said.

However, the cryptographic community has still started to put forward its own versions of the reasons for the new issue of the stele. One of the users of the social network Twitter noted that this is "a crypt version of the Fed's rescue," comparing the decline in the price of the Bitcoin with the mortgage crisis.

USD 35 mln was transferred from Tether Treasury to the exchange wallet for further distribution to other exchanges - Binance, Huobi and OKEx. The representative of Bitfinex emphasized the difference between the issued and authorized transaction, agreeing with the words of Ardoino:

"Authorized Tether are tokens that have been created on a block list and are available for distribution. As long as they are in the treasury, they cannot be considered issued. They are not counted in market capitalization because they have not yet entered the digital system. The tokens released are in circulation, which means that they have already been actually sold by Tether and are therefore backed by US dollars.
