Zipmex has been licensed by the Indonesian regulator.

Zipmex, a crypt currency exchange operating in the Asia-Pacific region, has been licensed by the Indonesian Futures Market Supervisory Council (Bappebti).

According to the management of Zipmex, even if each jurisdiction has its own set of requirements and rules for the regulation of cryptographic activities, the general requirements of global regulators on anti-money laundering (AML) do not differ from each other. Zipmex legal department specialist Bank Yimwilai explained:

"Working with different countries, we follow the best standards of each individual region. For example, we comply with the AML requirements set out by AUSTRAC Australia and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand, and these rules apply to all markets where we operate".

Last February, Bappebti introduced new rules for trading in crypt currency futures to introduce legal certainty and consumer protection, although Indonesia had previously refused to recognize digital currencies as legitimate financial instruments. As for Thailand's SEC, this year the agency plans to update its crypt currency regulations and take further steps towards the industry.
