According to Arthur Hayes, CEO of BitMEX Cryptographic Derivatives Exchange, the Bitcoin exchange rate is likely to fall back to $3,000.
Hayes believes that the securities market may still decline strongly and pull all other markets, including the crypt currency market. Given that the recent March 12-13 Bitcoin decline correlated with the stock market, it is quite possible that the price of the first crypt-currency could fall to $3,000.
"Bitcoin may be in a difficult position. Can Bitcoin's price test $3,000? Yes, definitely. As the SPX prepares to go down to 2,000, all assets will pass through again. No matter how tough the collapse in the value of assets in the first quarter, the markets may show the strongest volatility in 100 years," - said the CEO of BitMEX.
It should be noted that many analysts expect large-scale price fluctuations in the first crypt currency. Thus, according to the CEO of the venture company Social Capital Chamath Palihapitiya, Bitcoin in the long term may well reach $1 million, but one should not expect that it will replace the fiat currencies.
