Cameron Winklevoss: "The coronavirus pandemic will be a turning point for Bitcoin."

Cameron Winklevoss:

Cameron Winklevoss, CEO of Gemini Crypt Currency Exchange, is confident that the Coronavirus pandemic will be a turning point for Bitcoin.

The COVID-19 pandemic has paralyzed the world economy - more than three billion people are now in quarantine or self-isolation. However, the CEO of Gemini believes that this crisis can contribute to the promotion of Bitcoin and its development.

"This pandemic will be a turning point for Bitcoin and the metaverse," he wrote on social network Twitter.

Cameron Winklevoss is not the first cryptographic expert to say that the coronavirus pandemic, which triggered a health industry crisis and then triggered a new economic crisis, could play into Bitcoin's hands.

For example, in late March, Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz said that since the emergence of Bitcoin is caused by the financial crisis, 2020 will be the year of Bitcoin due to new financial turmoil.

A similar view is held by Tim Draper, who believes that although the coronavirus pandemic has had a strong impact on traditional financial markets, innovative technologies like Bitcoin could benefit from this situation.
