
Canadian company Emerge plans to use a blockage to combat the Coronavirus epidemic in Latin America.
The blockchain application, called Civitas, should help coordinate the actions of local authorities in different countries. According to the company, it was "designed to increase safety and speed up all processes and reduce the possibility of infection.
Citizen identification numbers will be matched against a registry entry, allowing local authorities to more quickly determine whether a citizen can leave their home. In addition, the app will determine the safest time to go shopping for people with coronavirus symptoms.
Thus, about one third of the population of Honduras is under quarantine, and people who violate the regime may face fines. The Civitas application will allow doctors in the country to monitor symptoms and provide all necessary instructions to citizens.
