The trading platform has implemented Star Atlas' own tool to detect illegal transactions
The Huobi Exchange will automatically block user accounts for suspicious transactions, according to a press release. To this end, the company has launched its own Star Atlas program, which is aimed at curbing illegal activities.
The tool will analyze user transactions, thus checking them for links to blacklisted addresses. To remove the blocking, the client will need to contact employees who will examine their case separately.
As explained by Ciara San, Vice President of Huobi, the implementation of the tool is necessary to clean up the industry from unscrupulous users. Their actions have a negative impact on the reputation of the entire cryptosphere, explained the company representative.
"It is assumed that only a small percentage of cryptographic transactions are illegal. But any incident, regardless of its size, is a stain on the entire industry," said Ciara Sun.
In February, Tether implemented a similar tool, "Know Your Transaction" from Chainalysis. This enabled Tether to begin real-time monitoring of transactions within its USDT sticky network for links to illegal activities.
