INATBA will explore the possibilities for a blockbuster to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

INATBA, in partnership with the European Commission and University College London, has begun coordinating the work of solution providers in the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The International Association of Trusted Blockade Applications (INATBA), founded last year, brings together various public and private organizations into a "COVID Task Force". The aim of the group is to find and launch block solutions that will help to cope with the consequences of the pandemic.

Specifically, the Task Force will identify corporate block solutions that could address public, social and commercial issues. As not all solutions are ready or applicable to specific situations, the task force will need to determine which block products can be rapidly deployed.

The group's results will be available in an "industry-wide information mechanism" that will show the readiness status of each potential solution. The database will also contain information explaining how some of the problems that prevent the solution from starting can be resolved.

The initiative is supported by the European Commission as well as the University College London Blockhouse Centre. Gerard De Graaf, Director of the Single Digital Market at the Directorate General of DG CONNECT of the European Commission, said:

"The European Commission invites our colleagues to work together on this important initiative".

This is not the first time that the Blockchain is seen as a possible solution to the problems caused by the pandemic. According to the latest report of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Blockchain will help solve problems in global supply chains. In addition, Emerge Canada recently announced that it plans to use blockades to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America.

In late March, it was also announced that IBM, Oracle and the World Health Organization (WHO) would establish an open data centre that would use the blockades to verify information related to the Coronavirus pandemic.
