Salesforce, a major U.S. business cloud provider and developer of the same name CRM system, has integrated Lition's commercial blockbuster for decentralized storage.
According to Lition, the blockchain integration will allow Salesforce to use decentralized data to make the architecture of the CRM-system more secure in the long term. The statement reads:
"Dependence on fully centralized data creates operational risks, as there is no guarantee that the data can be retrieved. A blocchaine, compatible with the requirements of the EU Common Data Protection Regulation, is an excellent way to partially eliminate this dependence in a decentralized way.
The technology will be available in an application in the Salesforce cloud system that will allow more than 150,000 users - from small businesses to large companies - to record, certify and protect sensitive information in a confidential manner.
"The Lition Blockchain is unique in this context because it provides a level that complies with privacy law and allows us to take advantage of the decentralized features of the Blockchain," said Lition's marketing manager Benny Woerpel.
In 2018, Salesforce patented a blockchain system that will eliminate spam and other unwanted email, and last year the company introduced Salesforce Blockchain, based on the Hyperledger Sawtooth platform.
