Barnaul police officers are investigating a 14,000,000 roubles fraud.


   A Barnaul resident lost 14 million rubles trying to earn on cryptographic currency, according to the Altai Krai Interior Ministry.

The duty unit of the Central District Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Barnaul received a statement from a victim born in 1963. The man said that unknown people had stolen 14,000,000 rubles from him through deceit and breach of trust.

It was found out that the victim had learned from his acquaintance that it was possible to make good money in trading on the stock exchange. After being interested in this offer, the man decided to invest money in stock markets. After signing a contract with a consulting company through a financial analyst, the man transferred management of his trading account. Since 2019, the victim has periodically replenished his account, so the total amount was 14 000 000 rubles. The day before the financial analyst said in an e-mail that there was a collapse of Bitcoin on the cryptovrency exchange and all the money was lost.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud committed on an especially large scale".
